Usually I try to stay away from medicine unless I truly need it, like last night. I am fairly certain that if I didn't put an end to my incessant hacking cough my roommate(s) would have killed me, and I don't blame them. I stumbled to the box where I keep medicine and fished out Thermaflu Warming Relief Cough Syrup. Now it was late, and I was tired, petty things like dosage instructions sort of fell by the wayside. Plus, I had to measure in this "convenient" cap but in reality, you never wash those things well, so you get sticky hands from trying to open the cap, and it can't be sanitary. ANYWAY. I sort of just took a few swigs and decided that would do. Uhh, it did. Too well. I slept through the opening ceremony of my first day of my second year of med school, which didn't even take place because of a teacher's strike. Did that last sentence make sense? Does anything I write make sense? No? I thought so. Moving right along.
The sad part of all this, blog, aside from the fact that I call you blog and don't know if you're male or female, is that I AM NOT A SICKLY PERSON! I'M NOT! I get sick really rarely and it passes fairly quickly. To sit here and type about my daily mucus discharge and fever aches is sad. I've become that person on the subway that other people steer clear from, the one who's gross and sniffly and the reason you wash your hands twice when you get home. It's disheartening.
I guess I'll go lay in bed in a dead Snow White position, or however deathly ill people lay. Blah. Quick! Here! Have something really adorable to combat this entire entry!

Oh no! I hope you feel better. Unfortunately I do get sick quite often. It's never very big though so that's good, but it's still annoying. I have no idea where I got this crappy immune system from because my parents rarely get sick. I love things with Vitamin C and eat them on a regular basis. I'm not an unhealthy eater (she says as she finishes her second cookie. Hey, they're going to go old soon!) and I ALWAYS wash my hands. You might be laughing at my bewilderment because of all of your medical knowledge and the fact that you know something I don't.
