october thirteenth.

HEY OH! 90th post! I'm at starbucks leeching free wi-fi from some cell phone store, and man does it feel goooood. I miss the leeching I did back home, where it was so much easier. Here I have wi-fi basically nowhere.
Last night yolie and I all-nightered it, and to be honest, I didn't get much done. I sat there and forced myself to read, but it was the kind of studying where you read the same sentence over and over and don't realize it until you're already thinking about something else. We stayed at Our Bar until about 5 when I got too uncomfortable sitting on the cold, unforgiving wood benches. Plus my bra was pissed that I'd been wearing it longer than usual. With all these factors working against me, we decided it'd be better if we went home to study, braless and in pajamas.
...Ahem. Do you know what else happens in pajamas? (well, pretty much everything if you're me) SLEEP. SLEEP HAPPENS. I fell asleep because apparently it takes hard wooden benches and pinching bras for me to focus. I woke up frantically groping for my cell phone and begged of the time gods that it wasn't ridiculously late. I guess they were feeling okay today, because it was 9.47, except yolie and I were supposed to meet up at 10. I called her and she answered in that groggy sleep voice that always gives you away and I felt a wave of relief that I wasn't the only who'd (over)slept. We revised our plan to include a lot less things that needed to be accomplished and decided we had to sleep a little more in order to be functioning. Never one to ruin plans, I got on the sleep part right away. I showered, dressed, took the subway to starbucks, aaand those are basically my proud points of the day.
Do you want me to be horribly cliche? Yes? Good. Let's talk about the weather we're been having here on this side of the ocean. I have NO clue where it came from but I want it to go back to where ever it came from (most likely michigan) I think I should have probably not laughed when my sisters told me about the shit weather we've been having over there, because it has come here! It's SO cold (52 according my lying laptop. I'm still bitter about the no heads up rain incident) But really, this weather can suck it.
Lastly, I want sincerely thank the people who have been commenting my entries as of late: Emily, Lauren, Kristen, and Elisabeth. I like blogging, I do. But when I get feedback and I know people want to read what I say, it makes it that much better. So I thank all of you, really. I know I might be making it into a bigger deal than I should, but you guys make me happy. So thanks. Oh, and my favorite color is green, you guys make me laugh ♥

xox,

  1. Yay green! I am jealous of your studying skills. I have none at all. In fact, instead of studying for my Nutritional Sciences test, I am about to head out to Target to get the rest of the Christmas decorations that I need (and praying that they will be in stock this early). Also, maybe some Starbucks since you gave me the idea.

Thanks for commenting on my blog. I'm glad I could make you laugh. And thanks for the advice. I think I'll be OK since I'll be escaping to Italy next semester. Ha! Maybe I just wont' come back!

  2. Happy 90th blog post!!! Good luck with the studying and sleep. Oh, and yes it is soooo cold in Michigan! I completely blame Canada. I liked it when it gets warm like summer one last time in October but we've had NONE of that! So frustrating!! sorry, long comment over : )

  3. I feel like you and I are living the same life sometimes. I had a similar "study" experience Sunday night. The whole being uncomfortable and going home then falling asleep before accomplishing anything ... yeah. That's me too. =]

Happy 90th blog post! And I love reading your blog.

  4. Yay for Southern Hemisphere spring weather. Not that I mean to rub it in, or anything :)

Happy 90th! Other people's lives are often much more interesting than our own. So I'll be quite interested to hear what you have to say for a while yet :)
