october thirtieth.

I passed my physiology exam, thus passing every single first year med school exam. Score. It's 4 in the morning and I just came back from drinking TWO LITERS of beer with a friend I haven't seen in a while. Well I see him, but we kind of stopped talking, but two liters of beer each will provoke conversation like no other.
Tomorrow (actually, today) is halloween! Still no wig, I'll figure it out today. Tipsy blogging for the lose. Also, I'm obsessed with LIGHTS. Her song Saviour (The Angry Kids FM Mix) is so gooood. Must sleep, I love everything. Good night ♥

october twenty-ninth.

I'm super blah right now, and I was considering not posting, but with impending NaNoWriMo coming up, this attitude is unacceptable. I have my physiology exam tomorrow at nine AM and I am so, so, so, SO scared. The rules got changed. Remember how I said every time I fail I have to pay 240 dollars, but I can keep taking it until I pass? Not anymore. Everyone (who doesn't have exams left, probably) voted to make November 1 the cutoff date, because they say having such an extended grace period hurts the school's reputation and makes others not take us seriously. Which just sounds like a bunch of bullshit to me. There are such few people with exams left, I honestly don't think we make the school look that bad, considering no one really knows. It's not a proud thing, we keep pretty quiet about it. fjdkfjdg These are going to be the kind of parents who start unnecessary campaigns and petition for certain books to be banned from libraries. All anger aside, though, if I don't pass tomorrow I'm screwed. So I'm once again going to ask for your prayers/karma/genuine good thoughts to be sent my way. I'll take what I can get. I feel like poop. Okay, I'm going to go all nighter it, wish me luck : (

Breaking news!
Wait, let me try again.
BREAKING NEWS!!!!

I'm doing NaNoWriMo this year, for the first time. Hayleyghoover's new video was the push I needed, I guess. I tweeted about this but none of my friends get it. And I have sweaty feet and feel like I need to share this. I know emilyinthecity is participating, anyone else? I feel SO unprepared, but I still feel like trying. Add me as a buddy if you're writing in november, I'm going to go calm down. ahhhhhhhhhh.

october twenty-sixth.

In physiology lab today I learned you can decrease your heart rate by pushing on your eyelids. So naturally after hearing this everyone immediately put their fingertips to their closed eyes, at which at teacher freaked out and insisted we didn't, in case some of us have different heart frequencies and we, um, die. She made it sound terribly dramatic, so yolie and I just waited until we were outside to do so. Our conclusion was that we didn't really feel a difference, so that was anti-climactic. But still cool, nonetheless.

I'm really getting into Mad Men, Kristin was right, it's getting better every episode. Megavideo kills me, though, so I'm currently downloading the rest of season one (I'm up to episode nine) so I don't have to put up with its bullshit time limit thing.

This morning I found that someone had drank my remaining milk, so I couldn't have cereal. For normal people a granola bar, perhaps a banana would have been appropriate substitutes. What did I have? Wine from last night and candy corn. Happy halloween from lady gaga : )

october twenty-fifth.

Lazy sunday: accomplished. I was a bum all day, until I broke the streak about half an hour ago to shower. I re-pinkified my strands and I like it : )

It's only seven yet the cloak of deathly darkness would lead you to believe otherwise. So tonight my roommate is having a party for herself, because apparently this one was planned before the impromptu one from last night. I was notified of this as I was walking back to my room from my shower, towel clad. An unidentified boy holding a beer sighed loudly and rolled his eyes as he wiggled past me to get in the bathroom, exclaiming "finally!" as he snapped the door shut. Ouch. Next time I want to shower I'll be sure to scour my apartment for anyone that doesn't live there but wants to pee.

I put on boxers and a hoodie and went to the kitchen to see what was going on, where I was met by my roommate and an obnoxious drunk hug. My first idea was that she was still drunk from last night, but I then remembered that I heard her leave this morning, meaning she was somewhat functional and not drunk. I spotted her beer next to her and figured out she'd started drinking again, and offered a fake smile and a weak "happy birthday!" She quickly explained people were coming over tonight, and that I should help myself to beer or wine or BOTH! I gave a short laugh, thanked her, and retreated back to my room.

I made reallllly good peach tea and coupled with blogging is pretty calming. I have to have to have to study tonight, but since my apartment is apparently the place to be (40 people are supposed to come. whaaaat?) I think I'll pull an all-nighter at Our Bar.

In unrelated and lame news, I'm afraid I have kidney stones. I know I'm a hypochondriac, but my lower back is really hurting and apparently you can get them at any age. That's all the information I have since I'm too scared to open my anatomy book or google. Boo. More unrelated news: I'm going to be lady gaga for halloween! I'm pretty excited, I'm fairly certain I can throw almost anything together and justify it as "creative and ground-breaking." I have to make a trip to a sex shop for a blonde wig as there are not Party Cities or Dollar Stores around here. That'll be a fun entry, haha.

I'm going to finish my tea and get ready for my all-nighter, I'll see you guys tomorrow <3
