fdjgdsgjsa! I just want to rant for 3.5 seconds about what everyone will probably be tweeting and facebook status-ing for the next few hours: kanye west's complete disrespect towards taylor swift. at the VMAs. Okay now since it's five in the morning here, the VMAs are still going on back home. I saw all this commotion on facebook with statuses such as "wtf kanye??" and got curious. Weirdly I found a video on youtube with the whole thing three minutes after it was uploaded. I'm in shock at kanye's douchebaggery. Taylor swift is of of my favorite artists ever and a genuine sweetheart. I honestly think if we knew each other irl we'd be best friends. I digress. I stood by kanye when a lot of my friends boycotted his music, as talent is undeniable, douchebag or not. But this is crossing the line. He's freaking 30 something years old! She's 19 and handled his tantrum so well. GAH I realize this affects me in no way at all, but I really do love taylor a lot. Her music has been my life soundtrack during some pretty hard times and I feel a closer connection to her than I do with most artists. Her tweets are always so real and she's so appreciative of her success and for kanye to embarrass her like this by acting like a toddler is ridiculous. Another thing I found suspicious is how fast videos from youtube got pulled. His outburst got over 500,000 views and Viacom pulled all of them down within TWENTY minutes. All I know is kanye's got some quick people working for him. AND on trending topics on twitter, he's like eighth currently and taylor swift isn't on there at all. His publicity people are probably going to get raises. fuck you kanye.

I was so angry when this happened! I just wanted to yell at him "sometimes the people we want to win, don't, and you have to get over it". Maybe we should send him some pacifiers for acting like such a baby. Thankfully, Beyonce let her do her speech when Beyonce won an award : )
ReplyDeleteI hated what he did as well. I think she'll be fine though. She'll write a song about his "douchebaggery", earn millions, make a video about said song, and then she'll win a VMA for next year too! She's awesome and she's got this.
